Marcie Nestman is an actor, voice-over actor, writer and instructor, specializing in creative writing and theatre workshops for young people.

Marcie’s first passion was figure skating. She dreamed of going to the Olympics and becoming the next Kristi Yamaguchi. Then, after landing the lead role in the stage version of Anne of Green Gables in high school, Marcie was bit by the acting bug and never looked back.
After graduating from the Theatre Arts Performance Conservatory at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Marcie continued her studies at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. She now lives in Vancouver, BC, where she has continued to work in the arts.

Marcie has appeared in numerous TV and radio commercials, and TV, film, and theatre productions. She can also be seen in many promotional advertisements for Animas Canada, showcasing and raising awareness for heroes living with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes.

Marcie's theatre credits include Breeze in On My Walk (Carousel Theatre), Ann in Communion (Ruby Slippers Theatre), Patsy in The Secret World of Og (Carousel Theatre) and Bobby, for 168 performances, in the BC children’s tour of The Big League (Carousel Theatre).

Marcie made her debut as a playwright with On My Walk, which was a collaboration with children’s author Kari-Lynn Winters, based on her picture book of the same name.

Marcie is currently a creative writing mentor for The Creative Writing for Children Society (CWC), where she teaches children aged 9-17. She has also been a lead instructor at Carousel Theatre, teaching children from 3-18.

She has taught at numerous theatre and writing camps, including the Mount Royal University Summer Camp, Carousel Theatre, CWC Camps, and the Write It, Read It camp for the Whistler Public Library. Internationally, she has taught in South Korea, and worked as an artist-in-residence in Thailand. She finds that her passion for acting is ignited by teaching children the fundamentals of theatre. She loves being able to participate in and experience the passionate energy that her students bring to everyday life.

Marcie is represented by Premiere Talent Management.
